I have recently seen a few people's business cards stating:
John Smith, M.B.A.
Is this the same MBA (Master's of Business Administration) that I am thinking of or is there some other MBA out there?
I guess I want to know if I finish my MBA, am I entitled to putting the initials after my name?

Yes it is a degree. If you complete an accredited M.B.A program then you are also entitled to using these initials.

It does mean the person has a Master's in Business. But whenever I see someone doing that, I get the impression that the person is a bit full of themselves.

But this varies by country. In some countries (not the US), when a person gets their MBA, it is expected that they'd place those initials after their name on a business card.

Yes, this is John's degree.
It's kind of bragging because it's just a degree. I have an MBA and I'm not taking away from anyone who does have an MBA. I just wouldn't put it on my business card.
It's more likely that you would see a professional certification like CPA, or CFP.
It's also more likely that you would see a professional license such as Lic.Social Worker, or an Engineering License, Plumber's License, etc.

You are absolutely right. It is the Degree that can be used after your name. You can put the initials once you complete your MBA. I guess I can put one in the next one year. Let me know if you have any other questions.
