My family and my friend's family want to go to Disney. But we are on a budget. We need a 3 or more star hotel. The hotel has to have connecting room and must be clean and comfortable. Any ideas??

you should stay on Disney at one of their motels because it is huge there are many to choose from. i was there 14 day and still didn't see everything. DO Not stay at Disney's Carribbean Beach Motel. it is like a motel 6. it's really crappy and not worth it. animal kingdom motel is nice and so is the swan and dolphin motel. there are buses to take you to everywhere you want to go even accross the motel to your restaurant because the wald can be a mile or two. go luck. have fun. and take lots of pictures.

I've been to DisneyWorld three times.

The first time, my DECA group stayed at a hotel in Orlando on International Drive. We had to ride a charter bus for an hour to get to the parks. I don't remember where we stayed and I don't care.

The second time, my band group stayed on Disney property at the All Star Music Resort. It's a budget resort but is very clean and interesting and has easy access to the parks.

The third time, my husband and I stayed at the Grosvenor Resort, right next to Downtown Disney which is great for shopping, eating, and nightlife. The Grosvenor arranges for buses to take you to the parks, usually a 15-20 minute ride.

**The Grosvenor is newly remodeled and now called The Regal Sun Resort. Wow - looks really nice!

You best bet is to look at the Disney website and see what meets your budget, they have over 20 resorts. I dont think your going to get a 3 star on a tight budget, the All Stars and Pop Century are their value resorts, they are inexpensive, clean and you get the same Disney service as any other Disney resort, plus buses to the parks, Extra Magic Hours and Magical Express. I just saw a special on the Disney website, 6 days 5 nights about $364.00 per adult.

I have stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel on several occassions, it is nicely located next to Pleasure Island, and the Disney town area. It is a nice hotel, and typically has agreeable prices. You can valet park your car once and from there take the Disney trams anywhere you like on the property. Good Luck and have fun.

I lived in Orlando for 30 years and worked with Disney timeshares. You can call one of the many timeshare companies that have places in and around Disney (there are TONS of them) and get really cheap rates to stay in 5 star accomidations. You will have to spend half of one of your days doing the timeshare tour (high pressure sales...just keep saying "NO! NO! NO!" and you will be fine). It is well worth the irritation of the tour because your whole family can stay in one townhome/condo like facility, close to Disney and other theme parks..usually you can get a package deal for as low as $99 a trip. There are also packages that throw in Disney tickets for free or super cheap. Try Westgate or Marriott...they are both reputable companies and it isn't a scam if you go into it knowing exactly what you want and don't budge. Good Luck!

Go to Disney.com

Look at the All Star resorts - Us sally around $89 dollars a night per room.

This includes free buses to all the parks - buses run about every fifteen minutes - no $10 parking fees and no driving.

Multiple pool locations and highly recommended.

I am a big fan of the doubletree.http://www.doubletree.com/en/dt/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=MCOISDT

or the "budget" double tree which is 2.5 stars. I couldn't find it's own website http://www.openlist.com/hotels-view-doubletree_club_lake_buena_vista_hotel.htm

The most satisfying in the value category would be Pop Century. That seems to be the consensus in my internet research.
You get many "perks" by staying onsite as well.
