Quit confessing to a priest if they could forgive you they would be the messiah.. They are child molestors so watch out for their motives. I would confess my sins to Jesus and know i was forgiven. A priest is not god and has no ability to forgive the sins of man... Just ask Jesus he can lift your burden.

NO....Its called FASTING or sometimes called sacrifice to dedication of Christ.
