People need to stop assuming that we are all teens asking pregnancy questions. I am a happily married 28 yr old. & my friend who I asked a ? is a married 28 year too who just have simple questions about life and pregnancy. WE know we have to take a test but sometimes people just want other peoples opinion about what is going on. There is no need for judgement or saying to stop taking chances and use protection blah blah blah we are not dumb chicks who know nothing, we were just looking for a females opinion who have been pregnant before we go and take a test. STOP categorizing people who ask if they are pregnant as teens!

If adults would spell and punctuate like adults, instead of using text-message babytalk, perhaps other people wouldn't be led to jump to the wrong conclusion.

By the way, I just read the question under discussion. You received eight answers, and only one person assumed you were underage. Not one JUDGED you at all. So you are not only over-reacting, but seriously exaggerating.

This is just a suggestion, but if you want to throw a hissy fit, you *could* find a better reason.

The thing with a forum such as Yahoo!Answers is you are asking opinions from literally millions of people. The fact is you are going to get some helpful answers, but you also take a risk of getting some pretty screwball replies, too. Some people are looking to be helpful and some are looking to shake things up, cause a ruckus, get a rise out of people. If you don't want judgments, it's probably better not to use Yahoo!Answers when seeking out information. It can be a good site to get information if you take every answer with a grain of salt, ignore what doesn't work for you, and choose a best answer that is the most useful. It is really helpful, to be taken seriously, to spell out words completely. Use of abbreviations in conjunction with question content often come across as immature. Also, use "check spelling" to give extra credibility to a question. Bottom line with the pregnancy question...unless you or your spouse have been successfully surgically sterilized, anytime you have sex there is a possibility you could conceive. So, the simple answer to everyone who asks, "Could I be pregnant?", the answer is "Yes, you could be pregnant if you have had sex.". I am mom to 4, ages 28, 25, 22, and 10. Our 10 year old was unexpectedly conceived when I was on birth control pills for 11 years and our children were 18, 15, and 12. My husband got a vasectomy after her birth.

I agree! At the time I was asking questions about if I could be pregnant, I was a teenager (19), but I was married and it would not have been a bad thing to be pregnant. I think that so many people judge that way because so many teenagers do get pregnant these days.

I agree with you everyone is different and it is nice to get advice and know what other went through so you know what to expect. I also felt like I was pregnant before I could test positive and sure enough I was so I wanted to know if others had this happen to them too.

ahhh man! I just found out I am prego (24 & happily married btw), and was hoping this section of yahoo q/a was going to be more mature vs. other categories, guess not! Another person was complaining about over judgmental answers in this section, real bummer that people cant just have open discussion and/or unjudgmental answers!

also - it doesn’t bother me that you may have misspelled words or don’t punctuate perfectly - I can see past that.

I know exactly what you mean! Some people are good with answers and others come out with judgements like they're God or something. I asked for suggestions on a first name to go with the middle name Clayton and got some good answers and then a guy said too "shoe shoe" with Clayton and to not name my child anything to do with that name. The name is my fathers and he's dying so the comment pissed me off. I didn't ask for his opinion on the name, I asked for first names to go with it. Good luck to you and/or your friend! Some people are just ignorant.

Just because someone wants the 2 points doesn't make them the expert on the topic either. We commonly take this too seriously. I hope no one is really looking for the answer to the meaning of life on Y!A

Nobody is perfect and no one can point fingers because the man that was perfect walked this earth over 2000 years ago. but we do expect you to use the common sense that God gave whenever it comes down to sex.... And its not just the teens that are ignorant, some adults are too so don't feel like that

You go Girl!!
Sorry about any rude people on here. Some people I guess just feel better if they answer that way cause then they can feel superior to them or something.
I hope you continue to come back on here and ask and answer questions. It's a great resource if you are pregnant. At least it has been for me, but you do have to get used to those Rude People.
Sorry.
