I watched an episode of Mythbusters where they tested to see if your eyes will pop out if you sneeze with your eyes open. They managed to hold their eyes open and sniff black pepper resulting in a sneeze. So it is possible and your eyes will not pop out because your optic nerve and several muscles hold your eyes in place.

I sneeze with my eyes open. I get all teary eyed and red in the face, but I cannot keep my head from going all the way back on the inhale, pause and all the way forward on the sneeze. It looks so dramatic. Also, I never just sneeze once. I sneeze at least 2-3 times...

If it's a proper sneeze then no you cannot keep your eyes open - they will pop out or get seriously damaged.

No - but now that you asked I actually just tried it and my eyes fell out. It was very scary! I found them though and put them back in. Warning to others - close your eyes when you sneeze!!!

very interesting question because i have never thought about it and have never heard or read about it. hmmmm, i don't think i have ever sneezed without closing my eyes. a reflex i guess?

well it is one off the well known status that when you sneeze your eyes will close and your heart will stop beating for that moment it is scientifically proved thus no one can

I'VE HEARD THAT YOU CAN'T ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A REFLEX WE HAVE CAUSE WHEN WE SNEEZE ITS AT 55 MPH HOUR & WE'D HAVE OUR EYES OPEN IT WOULD LITERALLY POP OUT
