Just buy a new one, replace it and then own up to it.

I know how you feel. I once dropped a log in the toilet of a friends home that was so huge it needed plunging, many times in order to flush. I was really embarrassed but I had to tell, since the plunger wasn't in the bathroom and I didn't' know what else to do. You have to tell them. If they like you, they'll only tease you about it for a minute or two and you'll be the brunt of jokes for awhile, but you all will get beyond it, I promise you. You'll live to be embarrassed all over again by something else.

Home Depot has a toilet seat... I'm sorry I don't remember the brand and it has a lifetime guarantee.. I have a friend that comes over and he's very, very heavy (650 lbs.) and sometimes the seat breaks.. We just exchange it for a new one...

Just go to Home Depot, buy one, replace it (very easy) and that's the end of it. Those things break from time to time, same as anything else- no big deal- not to worry!

thats not a big deal, just go buy another one and replace it without saying anything. if someone asks who replaced it then fess up and say it was an accident.
