The rest of the movie is completely possible, so I've always been confused as to why the hell they drive into the sky at the very end....Does anyone know why?

They are driving off to their malt shop in the sky where they will always be together.

Everyone will have a different interpretation so it's up to you to decide what it means. Oh, and you really couldn't say everything else that happened in Grease was possible. Synchronized singing and dancing just out of the blue? C'mon, that's definently not possible... Really doesn't bother me though, it's still one of the best movies.

Sandy & Danny are on a roller coaster. Then the car takes off into the clouds. Reaching for the Heavens is the symbolism. Anything is possible!

LMAO - Ya know, this is one of my all-time favorite movies and I'm with you - the entire thing is "possible" and then it's just blown all to h*ll when they drive into the sky. ::sigh::
Oh well, still a favorite!

That was John Travolta's way of letting the movie studios know what kind of pay he expected from his next movie.

i guess the grease lighting was so slippery when they started the car they flew up in the air and they happy smiles and waves were them being druged on noxtious gas from the car

I never understood why they ended the film that way. I don't think it's meant to signify anything.

because during the movie the female mechanic said something like if the car was any better it could fly or something like that next time u watch u will see wat im saying
