...smartass people respond that you are "clueless" or just make sophomoric, idiotic, uneducated, and/or just plain rude comments simply because you may not agree with their views?
Are the questions they read really that volatile, or are their opinions and viewpoints that important, that anything said contrary on Y/A that volatile?
Let's all embrace different opinions and thought processes people!

You answered your own question....smartass people...are, well, smartasses. They (we) just can't help it. (I, unfortunately speak from experience as an avowed smartass)
Sometimes I find answers silly because the answerer seems so afraid they might offend someone with their opinion that they take this pseudo-neutral stance. Some issues that's ok. "Gee, you might use onion powder in that recipe, I don't know, maybe you should try real onions?" On others, it just makes the point null. "Gee, I suppose if you judge people by their race that might be because of your upbringing, but..."
Yes, some questions are volatile. This is a discussion forum, not an agreement forum. There doesn't HAVE to be a conclusion.

Because,they are to dumb to know any real answers,and also they in some cases like to hurt people.and to me they just prove that way back when,they are living proof that Gorillas came over and Bred with the Buffalo's and unfortuantly it took,oh well!!!

Actually I think most of them just do it for the Yahoo! points so they can get to the next level. but of course there are idiots out there who just spout because they " are clueless".

Here's a thought: report rude and insulting responses without hesitation. It works. There are fewer racist comments today than yesterday. That's the best we can do.
