Lots of things. College, work experience, more college, more work experience, luck, and a record so clean you could eat off of it. If you want to become and FBI agent you will be able to hide NOTHING. If you stole a cookie from the cookie jar when you were 7, they will know that and they will want to know why. You will also have to take a very extensive lie detector test.

You need at last a bachelors degree in criminal science, but are better with at least one additional degree. Past that it depends on exactly what you want to do, other then the base degree the rest of the FBI has various requirements.

u need a bachelors degree (MINIMUM) in something relavent to law enforcement. Or some other trade that the fbi uses. like computers, or forensics. Being a DR is good. Sometimes. but very rarely they allow someone from a local law enforcement agency to 'walk on'. but its rare and u need to be smart and probably highly HIGHLY recommended.

Get a 4 year degree and get straight A's in your field. The FBI has various departments and will visit various campuses throughout the U.S. to find quality potential agents. They look for the top ranking of their class.

You need an excellent education; excellent health, all that good stuff! Prior military experience is a plus. Check with www.fbi.gov for all the details. They want someone who has never been into any sort of trouble; some one who is stable, etc. You will need to take physical, mental, and emotional tests. And, of course, you will need referrals.

Really, you have to have an EGO the size of Texas..really you do. These guys are not the smartest people out there...they love the glory.
It's a loser job same for cops and firemen who have a deed need for attention...that's why they have a divorce rate that's out of this world
