I would take Verlander. Hamels seems to be vulnerable to the injury bug, and Verlander has had great success in the American League where it is hard to get outs. He throws 100mph and has a sick off speed arsenal. I like hamels but I can see him having a big injury.

Cole Hamels cause he can handle the presure I think more than Verlander would be able to and because is a great young left handed pitcher.

Both are good young pitchers with a huge upside potential. Nod to Verlander, both short and long term, because of the velocity on his fastball.

Verlander---he has pitched in the playoffs and world series(poorly but still was there). You can't put a value on that experience, and you are trying to win it all right?

Cole Hammels if for nothing else because he is a lefty and they are rare.
