I prefer Jakob because for short you can call him Jake and the K is already there. I know you can call him Jake either way, but I like Jakob better than Jacob. What do you think?

As for middle names I like:
Jakob Andrew
Jakob Octavian (yay or nay on this?)
Jakob Octavius (yay or nay on this too?)
Jakob Riley

Any other suggestions?

Hey, I like Jakob. It's actually what my cousin choose to name her baby boy so I'm a little biased but I really like it and it sets him apart from the other Jacob's a bit. My top two choices for his middle name would be Jakob Andrew or Jakob Riley in that order. The other two are a little too out there for me but it's your choice. Good luck and Congrats! Enjoy baby Jake!

Jakob Aaron would make more sense, or something else Biblical that goes with the very Hebrew name you've chosen (regardless of how it's spelled). Putting Jakob with Octavian or Octavius mocks several generations of Roman persecution of the Jews. And, unless you are a Christian/Jewish couple, Jakob Riley (which is historically Irish Catholic) is an odd combination, as well. Just my thoughts, of course. Have a beautiful healthy baby!!

I like Jakob spelled Jacob because it just looks right but I'm a visual person so anyway...

How many syllables is your last name? If it is also 2, then you need a middle name with 1 or 3 syllables. So, I like Jakob Dean or Jakob Scott. For 3 syllables I like Jakob Nathaniel or Jakob Octavian.

good luck!

I like Jakob spelled with a "C" mostly because it looks right spelled that way, and because that is how I spelled my sons name -JACOB DANIEL! I call him Jake tho!!
