Personally I usually relate to a song by the mood Im in at that particular time or what I was doing when I first heard it,so if it make you happy when you hear it then by all means use it and the same goes for if it makes you sad.

The lyrics are good. It's just a matter of whether people can handle Celine Dion for the three minutes that the song will run.

I've been to at least 2 weddings where the couple used that as their song. If you both love it and find that the music and lyrics pertain to you then go for it.
Personally, I don't like it much but my husband and i have a very fun and "buddy" type of marriage and we chose "Fly me to the moon" by Frank SInatra because it is fun and a bit more uptempo then traditional songs. That way we didn't look silly dancing really slow. Ha ha
Good luck with whatever you pick. Try going to the knot.com, that site usually has good lists of songs in case you wanted to look into something different.

I incredibly have a huge checklist of songs for mine and my sister in rules weddings... i'm unsure in case you advise a processional, recessional, first dance or what, yet... you need to use any of those to be incredibly superb... :) Thank God i found You ~ Mariah i'm Your Angel ~ Celine & RKelly Bless The broken highway ~ Rascall Flatts won't have the capacity to Take My Eyes Off of you in straightforward terms wish ~ Mandy Moore (or Switchfoot does it, too) ultimately ~ Etta James You and Me ~ Lifehouse countless Love ~ Luther Vandross I Swear ~ ninety 8 ranges some thing new/diverse (incredible first music in case you desire to be diverse...) Paralyzer by capacity of Finger 11... lol harder rock music, yet reliable words! :) helpful, a number of those are sappy or previous, yet they're all superb. My advice to your wedding ceremony is - pay attention to the communities you the two like as a pair and %. your fave songs which will teach the way you experience approximately one yet another. does not rely if it incredibly is cliche or what, it is your wedding ceremony! Do what YOU adult men desire to do or you will experience sorry approximately it!

My aunt and her husband used the song "Because you love me" by Jo Dee Messina, It's really sweet. It has nothing to do with the Celine Dion one but it made me think of it.
Good luck and congrats in the wedding!

Its a really beautiful song. I've heard it at a wedding before and it was fine. As long as you like the lyrics don't worry about whether its too sad or not!

I definately wouldnt use it. I think it's over-used, unoriginal and cheesy. EVERYONE uses Celine Dion for weddings and it's really annoying.

No offence, but I find it a bit cheesy........ It's your choice, but personally, I would go with something more original. Good luck!
How bout this? "This Years Love" by David Gray:
This years love had better last
Heaven knows it's high time
And I've been waiting on my own too long
But when you hold me like you do
It feels so right
I start to forget
How my heart gets torn
When that hurt gets thrown
Feeling like you can't go on
Turning circles when time again
It cuts like a knife oh yeah
If you love me got to know for sure
Cos it takes something more this time
Than sweet sweet lies
Before I open up my arms and fall
Losing all control
Every dream inside my soul
And when you kiss me
On that midnight street
Sweep me off my feet
Singing ain't this life so sweet
This years love had better last
This years love had better last
So whose to worry
If our hearts get torn
When that hurt gets thrown
Don't you know this life goes on
And won't you kiss me
On that midnight street
Sweep me off my feet
Singing ain't this life so sweet
This years love had better last
This years love had better last
This years love had better last
This years love had better last
