Iran and Syria want to DEstabilize it, and defeat the US. A stable, democratic Iraq would be their worst nightmare.
They are the ones stirring up and supplying the sectarian death squads, and exploiting existing divisions. And getting more Iraqis, nd Americans, killed.
PS I would guess Jordan, Israel and Saudi Arabia - not to mention Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan and neighboring countries in the region (and those in Europe within range of any missiles) would want stability.

Iran is largely interested, probably wants to take over Iraq if a power vacuum makes it possible (like a US withdrawal). All of the neighboring countries will want to control Iraq and prevent any sectarian violence from spilling into their borders.

not a single one of them really cares about any of that stuff.
just remember that this is the part of the world who has let palestinians fester in their camps for decades!
if the surrounding nations allow just a few thousand a year to emigrate to their nations, there would be none left in these camps.
do you seriously think that people who allow their own kind to suffer like this care about anything?
