I have purchased several of these for not only myself but my friends as well...
Living in the deep south we have what we call palmetto bugs... HUGE cockroaches, as well as tree roaches.
The ultrasonic repellents that I have has seemed to help. Of course we will get an errant bug or two but all in all I can't complain. I guess it depends on what kind of insect your trying to rid yourself of... but I don't see any other bugs either.
I would think they would be great for apartment living where you have no control over your neighbors cleanliness...
And... the sound does not seem to bother my cats!

I don't know about the insect one, but the one for foxes, cats etc that you put in the garden do, so do the ones for rodents so all you can do is try one.

They do but you have to move them about every couple of days or the insects get used to them

They do if in a confine place. In a airy place, like a deck without roof, no.

Yes...when it is being used in its required area. I've tried it and it works! i got rid of those mosquitos and flies!
