Norma Elaine.......We think its very classic, american and not common. Any thoughts? Is it a pretty name? I would hate to give my child a name that would make her an easy target to get picked on. But my husand and I both like it a lot.

Norma is a classic but I think I like Nora a bit better- it seems more modern, or updated than Norma. Norma Elena is also pretty.

I do not personally like the name Norma at all. Elaine is nice but Norma reminds me of the 50's, old ladies. I like Nora alot better. That would be pretty Nora Elaine.

Norma sounds like a Grandmothers name. I don't think it is old enough to be considered classic. If you like classic names try Ella

Well, Norma is an old fashioned name that You don't hear very much any more. It is kinda stodgy. I personally don't care for it and would use Nora, Noelle, Lorna, Nola, or something similar. Elaine is pretty.

I agree, it's very american and not common. I wouldn't think it to be a pretty name, for some reason. Makes me think of an older lady. ?But this is just my opinion.
Anna Elaine, I like that better, but again just my humble opinion. Or Elaine for a first name.
Remember this is your baby, and you can name it whatever you want. It's nice that you and your husband agree on a name:) Doesn't happen to easily.

I always hated when people told me my child would get made fun of for names i liked. However in all honest your child might. Norma just gives a vision of an old, cranky fridgid woman. I think Nora is very beautiful and its still classy. Nora Ellaine would be very beautiful.

The only Normas I know are older ladies, but it is a classic name. I think it might give a little room for her to be made fun of. It's old fashioned and kids are mean to each other in school. It' s up to you though, it's your kid!!!
