Ideally peace but such is not the way of man. Our very nature dictates that we will seek a balance between the two because without one we cannot perceive the other.

I believe most people are for Peace. After all, isn't that what every Miss America says she wants? However in the real world you learn that the future of a nation depends largely on it's ability to wage war. I forget who said it, but we should pray for peace and prepare for war.

Peace, but not at any price. I am completely against appeasement. Sometimes you need to fight to ensure peace and your way of life. You cannot have peace while looking down the barrel of a gun.
I think that the vast majority of people in the real world (not Yahoo) would feel the same way when it came to the crunch. Iran should take note!

I'm for long-lasting peace, therefore I am for "this" war.
John Stewart Mill once said, "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing that is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better [people] than himself."

Hi,
Neither for, nor against it. Sometimes wars are
necessary, e.g., The American Revolution, whereby
we as a nation have obtained Freedom. But Peace on
the other hand is always in demand, and at times, it
requires that we be at war to get and maintain it.
I therefore stand on Neutral Ground, and all the Veterans
of War would understand where I'm coming from, esp.
those who are serving overseas now on our behalf.
And to those who are, I say THANK YOU..

War is a tremendous generator of progress in certain fields,in peace lies complacency and lack of progress. The morals of these facts are debatable.
