As soon as possible. It's important so that they can start doing all of the necessary tests and such. The first visit, they'll have you do a pregnancy test just to confirm that you are pregnant. Good Luck!

I took that at home test and called my doctor the next day... they said, we'll schedule you for about 8 weeks (after conception.) I couldn't believe it! I didn't want to wait that long and I thought they were nuts. I called around and it was basically the same thing everywhere.
So I'd call your dr right away, but don't expect an appt right away unless you're further along.
I think they wait that long so they can confirm things with an ultrasound and hearing the heart beat.

Good luck!

i could purely save the appointment on the fifteenth. Its nice. They dont do a lot early on besides. when I made my first appointment i improve into 12 weeks. they desire you in via then so they could take blood from you and do all the assessments they desire. My first appointment i didnt even see my OB the nurse purely got here in and took my blood and that i had yet another appointment a week later for pap smear and stuff they do on the fairly first appointment.

I called them when I found out...I was around 4 weeks along (from the first day of my last menstrual period), the docs office set it up for when I was 8 weeks. Between 8-12 weeks is typically when they schedule you for your first visit. Congrats and Good Luck!

You should get an appointment with your regular MD asap to confirm pregnancy and everything else, and you can ask them any questions you may have. USUALLY the first OB/GYN appointment is between 8 and 10 weeks....and remember they go by the first date of your last period...NOT when you actually conceived or ovulated. Different OB's are different though.

Call them after you take the home pregnancy test & they'll get you in. You need to start taking prenatal vitamins if you weren't taking them before you got pregnant. The folic acid you get from vitamins/food will help prevent neural tube defects which occur in the first 3 months of pregnancy.

As soon as you get that positive home pregnancy test, call them. They won't actually schedule you until you are at least 8 weeks along though, just in case of mistake or miscarriage.

I would call and talk to the dr. office you plan on going to.

Most doctors want you to come in before 12 weeks to m eet with a nurse to get all your history, and then come in at 12 weeks to get checked out by the doctor and get blood work done.

You should make an appointment as soon as you have a positive test.

Call them as soon as you find out, but most won't usually start seeing you til you are 8 weeks along.
