Apple picking (I haven't yet)
Corn Mazes (I haven't figured out why people do this)
Carve pumpkins (I haven't in a while and the neighborhood kids would only smash them)
Decorate inside or outside your home for Fall? (No one sees inside our place, or they rarely do, but I'm thinking of doing something Fall-like in the windows)

I love doing "fall things"!!

I have never gone apple picking, but I have gone to a pumpkin patch several times.

Corn mazes are fun when they are part of a haunted hay ride or haunted house set up-you should try it sometime.

I carve pumpkins every year, but keep them in the house in my front window until haloween night, then I put them outside. After Haloween they usually get chucked.

I decorate outside and inside, but I usually entertain 3-4 times a month...if I didn't have people over constantly I probably wouldn't decorate the inside so much.

Check out Martha Stewart's web site...she has some really cool ideas for Haloween & fall. Last year I made a set of black curtains that had two big yellow cat eyes in them, so when I would turn on the lights in the house it looked like a huge cat was looking out my front window. All of my neighbors thought it looked pretty cool.

Have been having yard sales now for 3 yrs in a row to vest myself of the decorations that I "used to" decorate with. Just way too many and way too much work.

Hubby and I have been redecorating our home for the past 3 years so our tastes now are simple. I still have seasonal decorations, to be sure, but they are not intrusive into my everyday life and room decor anymore and I don't spend a day at it.

As for your windows, check out the lighted decorations for fall. I've always had a lighted round pumpkin face hanging in my garage window that overlooks the sidewalk coming up to my front door. They make all kinds that you plug in and hang inside the window.
Another year I bought several felt sheets (real inexpensive at like 29c each at any store with craft supplies) and cut out leaf designs in each of the fall colors of brown, gold, burgundy, drk green and stuck them to the windows. Really cute and they stay on till you pick them off without messing up the windows if you use a little rubber cement on the back of each one. Make a nice decoration on tables too.
Fall is my favorite.

That is a great idea. Like cutting a dead branch, with other smaller branches on it, and putting coloured leaves, made from paper, with all the different fall colours. Or glueing real ones on. Put it next to a big window.

What about a fall wreath for the front door. Using cones, and again branches and leaves from all the beautiful coloured leaves on the trees.

I don't know what Corn Mazes are. Apple picking sounds like fun.

One of my dreams is to go and see fall in Vermont.

Apple picking every year faithfully. My wife loves making apple pie and I love eating apple pie.
Pumpkin carving till very close to Halloween only.
And above all, lots of walks into the woods or do some serious hiking in the forest. I love the smells in the woods. And the colors are absolutely heaven here on earth. And I always place my hand in the cold running water.
At home I also enjoy raking up all the leaves and letting my granddaughter have total fun in them. I will bury her in the leaves and she'll burst out with leaves flying all over the place. It makes me feel young again. I have 4 maple trees, so the smell of maple leaves is sweet. Its almost narcotic. LOL

I usually hang a grapevine wreath on the door but other than that I let Mother Nature do the decorating. She does a beautiful job here in the Mt's. of Va. in the Fall.

I do all of these things. All of them are especially fun when you do them with your family or groups of people. I have a three year old and a 10 month old and I am so excited for Fall. We are actually hosting a Chili Cook off Fall Kick off Next week... can't wait!

I love to walk through the woods in the fall and see the leaves in all different colors. Fall is my favorite time of the year. The main difference in my home for fall is the menu.......more hearty food, soups, etc.

I hang Indian Corn on my front door. I do not care if any person visits or not. I still will decor my residence whenever I wish.
