I don't believe you would be pulled over for no license in possession. There has to be another reason for the actual stop.

Once the officer makes the stop and asks for you license...not having it in possession is a secondary offense.

The only exception to this would be during an established "Drivers License Check Point" check.

Can this cause more trouble........yes! When you sign a summons you are essentially promising to either pay the fine or appear in court. If you fail to pay or appear...you're considered in contempt of court for Failure to Appear.

The court could issue a warrant...or...suspend/revoke your license.

Yes. In most states it is illegal to drive without a license. You usually go to court and show it the judge, he checks to see it is valid and the case is dismissed. If it was suspended or had restrictions on it, you could get jail time. I warrant will be issued anytime you don't go to court. But if you call them and ask if you can just pay the fine, then everything is cool. But if they pick you up with a warrant, then you will go to jail.

Yes, by not appearing in Court it is likely a default Judgment will be issued against them and/or a bench warrant issued for their arrest and driver's liscence suspended.

Most courts are fairly forgiving if you show up asking to take care of something like this. There may be a fine involved, but it will be much, much worse if you ignore it. You could potentially go to jail if you get stopped in the future if you don't take care of this on your own.

All the answers are correct but I just wanted to add you may want to delay driving until you fix this. Your license has probably already been suspended.
