I work in an aged care facility so I know many people aged over 90. One time I looked after a lady of 81, who said that she was just visited by her mother. I thought she must be confused and tried to readjust her to reality, but after asking another nurse I was told her mother was 102 and lived in the nursing home next door. I have known 4 or 5 people over 100 years old who were still walking around.

A neighbour just three doors away will be celebrating his 97th birthday this year. He still lives on his own mostly, though he has a visiting caregiver (who comes every second day) who helps prepare meals and do the heavier cleaning.
I also see his son and daughter and their kids dropping in all the time for visits.
This guy has all his faculties...his mind is as sharp as anyone's. And he still drives his own van, which he does much better than my ex-husband, who was a lunatic on the roads...no, this guy is careful and aware of everything around him.
I personally hope he keeps on going strong for a good many years yet.

I have two Aunts in their late 80's. Nearer to 90 by now. One is not too well, but such a special person to me, but the other is a wonderful lady who gads about to all the live shows and ballets. And has a wonderful sense of humour.

My dentist father lived 1 block from me and cut the grass clean the roof and all that stuff and was 100 then past away.
I'm not joking this man looked like a 60 year old man and moved around without any problem.

Good question. My grandmother lived to be 100. My mom
was 97 when she passed. My aunt was 96. A friend of
my mom's was 102 when she died last December.

He's 93 years young and gets treatment at the massage therapy office I work for on the weekends.
He and his wife go out to eat every day and catch a movie every Saturday. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversay.

My dad's turning 81 on December 31st. I think he's the oldest person I know. I hope I'm just like him when I'm that age; he says he's got about fourteen years to go to continue his work (he's a research scientist).
