We should have a seperate catagory for those who ask the question " Am I Pregnant?" Who the heck knows. We're not doctors. We don;t know who you slept with when you were ovulating or any other details. Nor would I want to know. Buy a darn HPT test and call a doctor!!!!! Idiots! Who agrees? Then maybe there would be actual pregnancy related questions in the PREGNANCY catagory. Sorry if this sounds mean. I just had to vent. Fell free to share your opinions for or against!

I think it depends. And I can back that up because I myself asked an "Am I pregnant" question. I think if you ask the question saying something like "So my bf and i had sex last week and we used the pull out method, and im not supposed to get my period until next week but im really hungry and peeing a lot oh my god what do i do", then i agree that you sound like an idiot and what you need to do is first be informed before you decide to have sex, and if you go ahead and do it anyways then go take a damn test!!!!!!!!! However, if you ask a question saying something like "so Im 10 days late and Im feeling sick, Id like to know if its possible that Im pregnant, and if its too early to take a test...or are there any other reasons like stress for my period to be that late", then maybe you just want some reassurance and or support before you take the next step and take a test. For some women its really hard to get to where theyre ready to do that, for fear of a negative result if they are trying.

you can't ask that question in ttc, because no one is preggo yet! every woman likes some positive feedback about being pregnant. we're not idiots; duh you can buy an hpt and know, but most women are in the tww. that's a time when you need some serious feedback and support, it's the longest two weeks ever. if there was a seperate category, would preggos actually check it out to help us identify the symptoms?? :) p.s. who cares how you word the question, it's the same thing. the person asking knows you're not God.

just don't answer. I know it's a completely stressful hassle to skip on to a question that you may know the answer to, but it can be done. It's a public forum, theoretically, you can ask a question no matter what category it being. Don't take it so seriously. Now if I either paid for or owned this forum...then maybe I would be motivated to do something about this situation of a travesty. hahahah

For real! That question pops up several times a day. There should be a stamp response to that something to the effect of, "If you did the bouncy, then yes, you could be pregnant. Either be patient and wait for results or see a doctor."

I agree with how annoying it is to have to tell everyone that asks to go buy an EPT but some people just dont have COMMON SENSE! lol Rightttt? Someone has to be the smart one on here and let people know that some person online cant tell you whether you are pregnant or not. hahaha

I do wonder why people come on here and ask the question when they could easily have a definite answer from a pregnancy test within minutes!!

I agree....

And for those who say they are scared or want support, etc. The question is not "Am I Pregnant?" which is impossible for us to answer. The question is something along the lines of "Anyone have similar experiences?".

The question "Could I be pregnant?" also gets me. If you've had sex and you are old enough to menstruate...then yes, you could be pregnant....period.

I agree with you. I think that people need to quit asking us like we are the stick that they should be peeing on. At the same time, though, we don't have to read or answer their questions, so I guess they aren't hurting anyone. I see both sides.

I agree. There are also alot of questions that could be answered with a simple Google search (all the "what are the symptoms questions").
