You know I've often asked a similar question. Both yours and mine are very thought provoking. How do we know your question isn't what happened when the KING JAMES version was translated. My question is: what if the people King James had translating were idiots?

I guess in some strange way that is clear to you in your own mind, you might be referring to the King James Version of the Bible.

The King James Version is considered by modern scholars (that know a lot more than you about translating the Bible) as an excellent translation done by linguistic experts of their day, who worked very carefully to translate the Bible while staying true to the meaning and style of the original languages. King James didn't say,"Write it my way or I'll behead you." If that is what you are asserting, can you please cite a historical reference for making such a claim?

King James wanted to have a translation in his own language, for the sake of his countrymen and had the means to accomplish it -- the finances to support scholars as they did this important work.

Is this what Pope Leo or the Council of Nicea and other 're-writers' of Christian dogma said to their followers??

Oh shut up. If you don't have anything useful to say don't say anything at all.
