My father-in-law is restoring my husband's 1982 Monte Carlo as a gift (yes, the man is LOADED). The driver's seat was beyond repair, so he ordered a new one. But he could only get it as a set with the passenger's side seat, which he didnt need.

What would you suggest we do with the extra seat? Could we try to sell it? I just dont know if there is a very big market for 1982 Monte Carlo passenger side seats in maroon. Hehe!!!

Thanks in advance!!

He should replace both seats so they match better, over time vinyl or leather coloring can fade a bit.

The extra seat can be sold on eBay or stored.

Good luck.

If you are restoring the car, install the new ones all around. As far as the leftovers, sell it or give them away on Craigslist. It won't cost anything to list them like it does on eBay.

I would replace the passenger seat with the new one to make the car that much nicer.

I'd put it on the porch so you can watch the kids play in the dirt and keep an eye on the coonhound sleeping on the steps.
