How do you know what the question is if they haven't properly presented it? All you are doing is guessing at the message they are so feebly trying to convey.
If they so desperately want an answer, then they should ask it in a way it can be understood. Which means using correct grammar and spelling. Otherwise they should be willing to accept the answers which they receive.
And for those who reply with something along the lines of "Who cares what people think?", then the answer to that is obviously you, else you wouldn't be here asking anything of them. Honestly, why would you be here asking for people's opinions if you didn't care what they thought?

Sorry to offend you but when I do it it's mostly because, if English is your primary language and you are above Elementary School level, you should be able at the very least hit the Spell Check button. I have no need to stroke my ego, I am fully aware of how to use my primary language.
If you don't care why bother? What sort of education are you getting out there?
As for LaBeouf...it's his name I got it off Google. I mentioned it just on the slim to nil chance that it mattered to anyone other than him.
Are you bored?
I don't correct everyone, or even a lot of them...just when they are particularly off the wall with grammar or spelling.
Don't like it?
Please, don't read it.
;-)

I think that the people with grammar and spelling errors are worse than the one who try to correct it. It's so hard to understand some questions sometimes because the person has so many errors. Your brain gets confused on what is really trying to be said. If you can't put the question out there that is understandable, how can you expect people to answer it?

LOL, for someone who has no misspellings and uses perfect grammar, what is your question exactly? It doesn't bother me when it is corrected. What does bother me is when the sentence is so out of context or the spelling is to the point that it does not make any sense. I do, however, give kudos to those who are not using their native language or kids who are still in school.

I don't object to the odd typo here and there - but it DOES irk me when someone asks a six word question - of which four words are typo'd and the gist of the question is FAR from clear.
It is not a "holier than thou" attitude, it is a "if you want me to spend my time answering you, at the very least try checking your six word question is comprehensible" attitude.
After all, the spell checker IS built in - it isn't REALLY asking too much is it?
Or are folks supposed to be happy with questions like "yo, mytxt notworkin, 4why?"

I think sometimes it bothers me more then at others, as my meaning really is of relavance, not so much the spelling. i myself do misspell certain words and it is part of my charactor. i do not wish to have it called out, especially if it was an otherwise legitimate, well formed question. If sumwun is purpusely tryan to ask a raly stewpid kwestion, i would sooner find another question from someone serious and dis-regard spelling errors. i dislike spellcheck as i prefer to see the true intellegence level of whomever i am communicating with. i'm not here for a job interview... my $.02

Some people assume that if one word is spelled incorrectly, it invalidates a question. There are those who actually look for mistakes to correct - sad.
It's different if there are a lot of mistakes, but one tiny spelling error isn't that bad.

The people who tell you about it. Just read my answer and get a life I say. If I wanted an English lesson I would go to college. On another note, it is always good to know where you have gone wrong. Excuse me while I climb back onto my fense (or should I say fence). x

I can't stand people who jump on someone's spelling or English and think that's more important than the question, especially the jingoistic types who can't comprehend that many of the users are living outside the US, and are struggling with English because the info they crave isn't available in their country in their language. I feel especially sorry for the ones trying to fight age-old traditions and customs and ignorance, and kids terrified of changes in their lives and bodies and no one else to answer their questions. A little sensitivity and compassion, people, please?

No. I feel I'll be taken more seriously if I write correctly, so I make the effort.
As for the people with awful grammar and spelling... that's fine for a social place like YA and they are representing themselves. But, I would correct them if they were my employees representing my company (and therefore, me).
