I entered my normal sleep paralysis state last night when I went to bed. Though this time when I started to hover around my body I asked out loud where I should go. Don't know why I never tried to talk in the past. So then I went to my uncle's house and found a crayon box on the top of their second frig that had pearl earrings in it. I then grounded myself and I returned back to my house.

I am wondering if this is just from reading psychic books so I made it up or if others have had similar experiences. (Don't know where this uncle lives or how to contact them)

Yeah, I sort of always think it's made up. But I wonder if I trick myself into thinking it's real if the dreams will be cooler.

Occasionally we do have dreams that tend to solve a problem , give us an answer.
Then we have dreams that only remotely touch reality and even in our dream we are aware that it's a dream. (been there , done that)

As far as the brain is concerned dreams *are* real. Our brains operate as if what is happening in dreams is happening in the real world. That's why we get scared during nightmares, even if we wake up and know it's not really happening.

I don't know what a psychic dream is. I am not aware of any mechanism that would allow humans to tell specific future events whether they are awake or asleep. Just enjoy what you can out of your dreams.

Dreams are not prophetic. That is wishful thinking on the part of those who need "super powers" to feel special in life.

Some say the function of dreams is to compensate for those parts of the psyche that are underdeveloped in waking life.

Dreams supposedly deal with problems we can't solve in waking life and offer solutions

SO,

If dreams are so important, why don't we remember more of them? Furthermore, the people who remember a great many dreams don't seem to be any different from those who remember few or none, at least on the standard personality tests that have been used in many studies to date. If dreams are important, why aren't the recallers of them better off in some way?

You just made it up. Psychic dreams are fiction.
If you want to experiment, have a friend place an unknown object in a box on top of his fridge.
Then do your OBE and see if you can tell him whats in the box. If you get it wrong, then you know for sure its not psychic.

Well, seeing that there is no such thing as psychic dreams, there is no need to tell the difference. Dreams are just your thoughts (conscious or unconscious) from the day or week interacting with other thoughts and memories. You were reading about that psychic stuff so your mind created a scenario.

Tonight ask your Uncle to write something on the Crayon box.Don't peek!!!Project yourself over there again tonight. If you know what he wrote when you wake up.You've had a true psychic experience.Reproduce it in a lab and you will be rich and famous.

Hey Joe, you've had an "outter body experience" not a psychic dream and the only way to know if it was an actual "celestial flight" is to recall how it felt when you re-entered your physical body...(and check with your Uncle if possible to verify)

Let me know by adding details hon kk?

All the Very Best, Shad @)~>~

{Try to forcefully project yourself somewhere hon then check in with that person so see if they'd felt, seen or smelt something that could verify your presence}

Yeah, you just made it up. While sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming are known to happen and are not paranormal at all, there is absolutely no evidence for astral projection. Wushu's advice is very good. Put it to the test and see for yourself.
