My last purchase was an Armani Exchange sleeveless buckle top for $4.99. I love thrift, Salvation Army and Good Will stores.

Just buy it and wash it. The new clothes in stores have been tried on by people too!
DON'T BUY:
used underwear, socks, swimsuit
used mattresses
used bed pillows
Do the sniff test on upholstered furniture and throw pillows

Second hand clothes are great. So are hand me downs. We have four girl coisens in our family each about 18 months aparts, so clothes make their rounds. The only thing that hasn't held up to pass me down standards has been toddler pajamas. The only thing that bugs me are thoses consignment boutiques that want almost as much money as the item would have costed new. I do draw the line at underwear and socks though. Eww.

I usually shop at those expensive boutiques, but I don't fancy going to second hand shops. I can spend a lot or a little money for a cloth if it's really great and looks good on me. then I don't care where I bought it. I just need to have good cloths, and I can tell you one thing: not only in boutiques you can find good ones. Second hand shops are also great ;)

there's nothing against it! i love shopping at good will its fun cause if you were to go out and but say a pair of jeans, you end up paying 100$ for 1 pair! i go there and pay 5$ for one! hmm no question there, im going to goodwill. as long as you wash the clothes...they are fine. think about it. when you buy a shirt/jeans new...when you take them home and wear it once...what does it become? secondhand...lol
and think about this, when you go into a store, do you try on things? well if someone has tried on a shirt/jeans...and you don't know this...you buy that shirt...the store you just bought that from DIDNT wash that shirt, just folded it nicely again...LOL at least good will WASHES all the clothes heheheeeee
ok im done
LOL
keep up the good questions! i like this one! YAY FOR GOODWILL!! :)

Me too. I haven't bought new clothing in 20 years. Sometimes I get perfectly nice stuff at closeout for as little as a quarter!

Second hand clothes are cool. There's nothing wrong with wearing stuff other people have worn... unless its underwear. Now that's just plain gross.
