No it most certainly did not deserve a violation. This is what I am talking about. Someone is hitting "report it" on this site for some odd reason. I would have told my age as well had I seen the question. I suspect we may have more than one troll on this site. Maybe some people have too many contacts and once you have a lot of contacts, anyone can get in here and play their silly games of reporting questions. Respond by writing Yahoo Answers abuse. They finally answered mine by saying they would look into it, but I doubt anything will be done.

I am sorry about this. BYW, I am 65 and have earned every year of it!

I can't believe they'ed find something like that offensive. I don't
mind telling my age. I've been asked that alot lately at the
hospital outpatient clinics. I guess they are too lazy to look
at their computer screens or papers on their desks?
I asked for the age of teens answering a question for me.
And I haven't been reported. Nor would I expect to be. I don't
recall any violation asking anyones' age. Tho there was
something I read regarding asking other things tho. I had a
violation last week that was so bizarre, and I had to appeal
because whomever reported me, must have interpreted
my helping info with some conflict of interest that Yahoo may
have with someone providing a paid for service. And I had
offered a free website I'd downloaded from. And it was a
legitimate link from the company who puts out "Windows",
I am drawing a blank, but you know the company. Well any-
way, that was absurd. I see my answer has been restored
anyway, thank goodness. I didn't get a notice about it
being restored, I just saw it today under the question. So
there is hope that someone does read the complaints. It
just takes awhile to find the right place to complain to. I'd
go to the appeals board and ask them about your question.

It doesn't even make sense that "they" would delete such an innocent question. Some of the questions on some of the other sites...( like singles etc) shock even me and I consider myself pretty very minded. What's going on?

I DON'T THINK SO.. YOU DID'NT ASK "ARE YOU A LITTLE GIRL OR A BOY"? SO THE QUESTION DID'NT SOUND LIKE A PERVERTED ONE SO I GUESS IT'S JUST ONE OF THOSE UNFAIR THINGS..MY QUESTION GOT DELETED JUST CAUSE I ADDED DETAILS AND POSTED A SMART
REMARK TO THE PERSON WHO WAS GOING UP AND DOWN THE ANSWERS AND GIVING THUMBS DOWN, SO WHO KNOWS..SOME PEOPLE CAN SLIP THROUGH THE CRACKS AND WE CAN'T--HA-HA!!

Guess YA considers that personal information. We apparently didn't mind, but the old YA robot did.
