These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I Have Said unto you.
Matthew 7:21-24
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works ? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and DOETH them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Regarding John 14:25-26
In the final hours of his mortal ministry, Jesus taught and strengthened his Apostles. Why did the Apostles need to be strengthened at this time? (See John 16:1–6; see also John 15:18–20.)
The Savior told the Apostles that he would send the Comforter (the Holy Ghost) to them (John 16:7). What is the mission of the Holy Ghost? (See John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:7–14.)
The Holy Ghost:
a. Comforts (John 14:26).
b. Teaches (John 14:26).
c. Brings truths to our remembrance (John 14:26).
d. Testifies of the Savior (John 15:26).
e. Guides us into all truth (John 16:13).
f. Shows us things to come (John 16:13).
g. Glorifies the Savior (John 16:14).
The Twelve Apostles experienced manifestations of the Holy Ghost during Jesus’ mortal ministry, but they did not receive the gift of the Holy Ghost until after his death and resurrection (John 20:22).
What is the difference between a manifestation of the Holy Ghost and the gift of the Holy Ghost?
“Manifestations of the Holy Ghost are given to lead sincere seekers to gospel truths that will persuade them to repentance and baptism. The gift of the Holy Ghost is more comprehensive. … It includes the right to constant companionship, that we may ‘always have his Spirit to be with us’
“A newly baptized member told me what she felt when she received that gift. This was a faithful Christian woman who had spent her life in service to others. She knew and loved the Lord, and she had felt the manifestations of His Spirit. When she received the added light of the restored gospel, she was baptized and the elders placed their hands upon her head and gave her the gift of the Holy Ghost. She recalled, ‘I felt the influence of the Holy Ghost settle upon me with greater intensity than I had ever felt before. He was like an old friend who had guided me in the past but now had come to stay’ ”

If you ask everyone in the world about a religious issue, you're going to get six billion different answers.
I suggest that you go to the library and look at a biblical commentary.
Go to a BIG library where they have more than one.
If you are really interested in Christian theology, my personal preference would be to go to a catechism or inquirer's class at an Orthodox Church (not that I'm biased or anything).
On the other hand, if you're just posting this question because you concerned about the rest of us getting into heaven, then I agree with the previous answerer--take it somewhere else.
There are too many people who think God wants every one of us to be evangelists. He doesn't. He gives some people this calling--but not most people.
Respectfully,
James

Jesus was bringing to light the works and working of the comfort which in the Greek word is "Parakletos" meaning one called to the side of another. in the Old testament the Spirit comes and goes in 1 Sam 16:14; 18:12 the Spirit left Saul in Ps 51:11 David was pleading to God not to take away His Spirit from him. But after the promise of Jesus was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit came to stay. and not to only stay but the manifest Jesus in a different way to mankind. In Matt 28:20 Jeus told the Apostle the power of the Holy Spirit in the teaching Ministry by saying "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen
Matt 28:20 (NKJV)" so Jesus was telling His Disciples the need to have to wait and have the Comforter (Holy Spirit). so that they could be assured of His finished worked glorified in all who are called by Him.

Jesus was telling his disciples that when he completed the will of his father (redeeming manking from sin through the shedding of his blood) and he ascended into heaven that only then could the holy spirit come and dwell in a person. but not every one will be able to obtain the holy spirit. the word of god tells us that no man can go to the father except through christ jesus. (st. john 14:6) it also tells us how to become a child of god. (romans 10:9-13) It goes on to say that if any man be in christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away and behold all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17) this means that you have said lord i accept you in my life as my lord and savior and i belive that you are the son of the most high god and that you were raised from the dead, forgive me for all i have done. forgive me for every sin in my life. and right now i commit my life to you. when this is said with a sincere heart then you are forgiven and you are a child of god. then the holy spirit will come and dwell in your temple (body) "romans 8:10 and 1 corinthians 6:19-20". it will teach you. the word lets us know that the holy spirit will lead us into all truth (psalms 5:8, 25:5, 27:11, 31:3, 139:10, 139:24, 143:10, and st. john 16:13). In the last days god said that he would pour out his spirit upon all flesh (joel 2:28). the word also lets us know to be aware of false prophets (matthew 7:15). but most of all it lets us know that when christ returns on that cloud in the sky that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess (Isiah 45:23, romans 14:11, and phillipians 2:11) that jesus is lord. so when we are caught up and changed in the twinkling of an eye we will stand before him. and people will say lord i preached in your name. lord i prophsied in your name but he will say get away from me i do not know you. these are the people who exhalt themselves. they place theirselves in these position. when it comes to gifts like prophesy and callings like preaching, one has to be called by the spirit to do these things. so if the holy spirit himself did not call someone into this position then it is not of god. and in that day he will turn you away because he did not call you to do it and you lived a lie. so everything you did was not considered to be on a solid foundation. and the word lets us know that the solid foundation is jesus christ.

there's this great site called www.biblegateway.com which lets you look up verses in different translations, and it also has links to lexicons and bible dictionaries. It looks to me as though you are looking at individual word differences in the translations (it's really hard to see what you have put in the notes. Which verses belong with which adresses, and why are they there in the first place, and not the passage you asked about?). look up the specific verses in different versions, and see if the word changes. then go to the lexicon and see if the same word in the original language is used in these other translations. if they are the same, it is simply translation differences. If they have different greek words, look at the contrasting meaning between them.

Jesus is telling them that God's spirit will guide them, when he (Jesus) ascends to heaven. He also warns them about people who claim to be in Christ, but who are actually deceivers--workers of iniquity. This is true of ministers who stand in the pulpit on Sunday morning, while denying the truth of God's word. Their first deception is to open the church doors on Sunday, when God's law commands that the sabbath is on Saturday. Those who deal in such deceptions will not inherit the kingdom of God.

sure, I see it as a fulfillment of what Jesus grow to be meant to do. He mentioned so somewhat later in Luke 4, "right this moment the scripture is fulfilled on your listening to". (paraphrased). the sole element i could upload is the meanings of what Jesus grow to be meant to do is the two literal and figurative coping with being unfavourable (the two spiritually and monetarily), blind (the two bodily and spiritually), lame ( the two spiritually and bodily), etc. Soterion and different suitable words that are generally translated as "Salvation" have specific meanings: wellness, protection, prosperity, protection, etc.

I don't think you're interested in an interpretation, but in preaching. Take it to another site, please!
Or at least another category. I think there's one for religion here someplace.
