To cut a long story short.
Some chocolate that I had left out in an open honest to goodness position where anyone could help themselves went missing.
My husband - when accused - blamed our puppy.
They both look guilty.
I am the victim here of a male conspiracy.

So far, the only ones on my side seem to be the chickens who were never fond of my husband (cold hands) or the dog (cold nose). I respect them for not getting involved - they are saying nothing although they must have seen the whole sordid snatch.

This could very well develop into a girls v. boys thing if someone doesn't 'fess up soon.

How do I break the stalemate?

A conspiracy you say! And to blame the poor little puppy, why the nerve of it all. I'd tell them that chocolate had better be replaced within 48 hours, no questions asked, or everybody will be bound and gagged until someone confesses. Unless, of course, you're a lot smaller than the rest of them. In that case, I'd "lose" all their clothes and them tell them the puppy took them because the puppy was upset at being falsely accused!

It sounds like he does not experience important adequate interior the kinfolk and is attempting to exercising his impact as significantly as conceivable. There are behavioural curbs which you will positioned into place. one that truly works properly is calling each and every of the kinfolk jointly and agreeing which you will no longer take something that he says heavily until you have talked to one yet another. The technique he's utilizing is declared as triangular international kinfolk and purely works if the persons being manipulated do no longer confer with one yet another. as quickly as you have progressively neutralised the impact of his behaviour you are able to attempt changing it yet this is a greater tale altogether. this is probable that he's not any longer purely behaving like this with the kinfolk yet with people in different spheres of his life too and which could have fairly unfavourable long-term outcomes.

Try the EX-Lax on your hubby and if it stops or he say he'll never do it again. Trust me this really work as I don't think you will get them to talk. they are pretty darn stubborn and tight beck ed about saying anything even with a " stool pigeon amongst them"

I'd tell them both as long as someone replaces the chocolate by the setting sun all will be forgiven. No questions ask as long as they abide by your request.
If not May God have mercy on their souls.

Well let's hope the dog didn't eat it,
because dogs hearts are already
beating fast, and chocolate can give
it a heart attack.
