Leadership, that's a great thought. But the fact of the matter is, whom ever lies the best and has the most money wins.

Agree..its the same every where in the world..the best qualified people dont run for office..only the ones who cant find a better job else where. It still amazes me how the ministers of government departments are not experts in the field they are in charge of. Why would i take advice from the minister of health when he or she has never been a doctor or even worse..they were the minister of transport before they became minister of health!
Guess you just have to make do with the candidates that want the job..whether they are below the min level of leadership or not!

Yes and perhaps in a democracy (which this still ostensibly is) the blame should be squarely laid on us as a people that accept voting in a duopoly for lesser evils and tolerate scripted sound bite exchanges in lieu of real debate.
TMI America?
We should be ashamed, be careful what you wish for, those leaders represent us as a people.
Wake up America, learn more and vote for what you believe in. Stop voting for lesser evils!
Stop expecting the two party system to work; it doesn't. It leads to the kind of pathetic dumbed down options we are witness to.

Yeah, pretty much. But, we have to pick the lesser of the evils.
Unfort. they will all preach smiles and lollipops..then will get elected and change everything. That is the nature of politics in this country. And most countries, pretty much.
I mean, our current president is a prime example of this...WHY WHY WHY was he elected twice? Now he has the lowest rating of any US president....hmmm
Unfortunately, it is a 2 party system, and other parties don't get **** when it comes to votes..truth be told.

agree,
I think we need a crusty old Marine Gunny, or an Army First Sgt. to take the reins. someone who knows how to motivate and lead from the front.
No more spoiled, rich, over-pampered, bread for the position politicians.
