My fiance and his whole family have the initials DDT. Deon, Dana, Damian, Dwight, Dennis, Daniel, Devon, Dimitrius are all taken. Plus, I can not think of pretty girl names that start with D.

My family does the same thing for initials. It is sort of a family tradition. Since you have a lot of take names, one that is not overly used anymore is Don/Donald.
I would suggest phrasing the name in this manner:
First Name: Donald (or other choice)
Middle Name: (father or next relative w/ a D name)
Last Name: T-intial
