Im shy/self conscious, and Bf and i think its about time for us to move on to the next step with having sex.I'm ok with this but with my shyness i dont think ill be able to without screwing up or freaking out.how can i overcome this what should I do?

You don't say how old you are. But, if you're old enough to do so, you should consider talking it over a little bit about your lack of knowledge in this area with him, and that if he has experience already that he should help you in this. If neither of you are experienced, then you both need to be resolved to exploring each other and taking it slow and meaningful to each other, realizing things only get better as experience occurs with practice. At worst, get a book or view a couple movies (porn can be helpful in such cases).

Sounds to me like you're not ready or think he's not the one you want to have sex with. Either is okay. Don't be pressured into doing something you're not comfortable with. If he won't wait, then let him go because if he really cared for you, he would wait and not make a big deal out of it.

Don't do it til you are ready. If he doesn't like it then tough for him. You'll regret doing it just for him.
