Yes, we should keep it. No matter how attractive the idea may seem at any particular period of time, limiting the term of President to two terms is important.
The American system is based on the idea of citizen statesmen. Serving in elected office was not intended to be a career by the Founding Fathers. Rather, it was seen as an inconvenient duty citizens would be called on to perform as a service to their fellow Americans.
Now, we have people serving in Congress for fifty years! That is absurd enough. We certainly do not need a "semi-permanent" president, too.
Equally important is the effect the limited term has on the actions of the president. The two term limit tends to keep any president from being more interested in getting re-elected than in making the important and sometimes unpopular decisions a Chief Executive or Commander-in-Chief is regularly called on to make. His power is also tempered by his lame duck status in his second term.
It would seriously and adversely affect the power of the President of the United States. We certainly do not want to encourage the tyranny of the majority.

Maybe one day we will have a great president and want to keep him/her for more than 2 terms. There is impeachment to remove one from office, but nothing to extend one's term. The 22nd Amendment should be amended to include the Congress and Senate and limit them to two terms also.

Yes we should keep it. By allowing one person to remain in office forever, that person could reconstruct Congress and control the media in ways that could lead to a dictatorship.
Aside from that, I do not believe in amending the Constitution unless it is absolutely necessary.

it is a good law if it keeps the other guy's man out of office. but when your man leaves and is replaced by an idiot, then it is a stupid law.
