Ok, so i am in high school right now... looking forward to next year in college. Im not sure what i want to major in but whatever i do, i dont want a lot of hard math courses. I am taking calculus right now, and it is fairly easy, but i hate it so much. Anyway, i was wondering which major requires lower end of math courses - but is a good paying job. And i probably dont want bio for a major.

If you're already taking math classes like calculus in high school, you're capable of doing college level math, and therefore you should NOT choose a major or a career based on a couple of annoying courses. You'll take upwards of 40 courses in college. You're bound to dislike several of them, but running away from an entire field of study because of it means you'll end up working a call center for Quicken Loans and waiting tables at night.

If you are picking a major the way you'd pick out groceries, that's fine, but plan to go to graduate school if that's the case. Deciding what to do with the rest of your life is no matter-of-fact, one-time decision. Just don't rule things out because of prerequisite college courses.

These are fields that can require a lot of math.
Engineering
Mathematics
Economics (higher level, i.e. econometrics)
Physics
Statistics
Some other higher level natural sciences

You're safe with the social sciences, business, arts and literature.

It depends on the college. Are you going for a Bachelors degree because if you are, the minimum is 2 semester of math and then 2 semesters of statistics?

If you go for an Associates, you are looking at 2 semesters of math.

Keep in mind, math and science majors make the most money.

Liberal arts...languages, philosophy, history, anthropology etc.
Jobs would consists mostly of teaching at the secondary/post secondary levels.

Accounting/business...all you need math wise is the basics and possibly statistics. Accounting runs off of formulas, so it's pretty easy.

Really the only thing that requires heavy math is if you go into the sciences or...math.

anything to do with social sciences doesn't require that much math. you will have to take college algebra and statistics.
