All of what you say is true. In addition most have completely forgotten how we got there to begin with. We destabilize a region and then use the destabilization as justification for continuing to stay there.

It isn't hard to imagine at all, and when you factor in that what's now largely confined to Iraq and Afghanistan could spill over into Saudi Arabia, and that Iran and Turkey might feel the need to intervene, it gets exponentially worse. As a matter of fact, it isn't much of an overstatement to say that Saudi Arabia is the focus of the whole thing. There's nothing about the situation in Iraq that looks like disaster at this point. It looks more like a standard 4th-generation war, and it'll play out over the next decade or two, so it's a matter of having a say in how things go, or not.

It is because if we withdraw troops now, how can we launch an attack on Iran which is in the pipeline! Maybe you have already heard of the proposal to set up an American base on the border between Iraq and Iran, of course as if Iraq as a whole is not already an American base !

It can get worse, look at Darfur. Genocide & all out warfare including weapons of great destruction. We seem hung up on the WMD when a suicide bomber is equally as bad and roadside bomb fatality totals all add up. With numerous nations involved including China & Russia, plus Iran who has strategic capacity next door. Pakistan will release the hidden warriors from their hills who will plunder Iraq taking no prisoners. Obviously the Iraq government as it is is not capable of protecting the country.
To me the possibilities are endless and far too dangerous to let go of right now. And there is always the chance that our defeat will send radicals back to US shores and engage in terror on our streets beyond September 11. Thank you.
PS Even Hill C believe it will take time to remove all our people and equipment. Our goods as well as the brave soldier's need to be removed too. Something we forget.

Take a look at the government of Iran.
That's how it can get worse.
Iraq isn't the last chance for the US. It's the last chance for the Middle East. I agree it's like trying to bring democracy to a troop of howler moneys, but this is probably the region's last chance to avoid being hit by Israeli or US nukes.

Disaster for us if radical Islam government will shape in Iraq. They will have access to oil and other resources. They will recruit anyone they want as "liberators" from infidels, etc.
Right now, despite all the hardships, Iraq is controlled. On the other hand we don't know what Iraqi people want and our government does not care.

IRAN IS AFTER ISRAEL TO DESTROY HER. IF WE LEFT IRAQ THE TERRORISTS WOULD TAKE OVER AND THE OIL WOULD BE UNDER THEIR CONTROL.
THEY WOULD MOVE IN ON ISRAEL AND THEIR THREAT OF" WE ARE GOING TO PUSH THEM INTO THE SEA"
WOULD BECOME A REALITY.
THERE IS MUCH AT STAKE HERE. THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ WANT US THERE AND OUR TROOPS WANT TO BE THERE.
MY SUGGESTION IS GO OVER TO IRAQ YOURSELF AND TALK TO THE PEOPLE AND THE TROOPS.TALK TO SOME OF OUR MILITARY THAT ARE IN THE HOSPITALS. GET THEIR INPUT.
YOU WOULD HAVE THE TRUTH INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO HYPE FROM THE NEWS MEDIA.
THE WAR ON TERROR IS A WORLD WAR. THERE ARE
PEOPLE THAT WANT TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY.
THANK GOD WE HAVE A PRESIDENT THAT HAS KEPT US SAFE SINCE 9-11.

if we withdraw troops it will show we have given in to terrorism if we don't take a stand against it no one will as it has shown in the past, if we don't take a stand there will be more civilian deaths then there are now because no on will be able to prevent them. if we leave AL kid-ah will take over and they will attack again and again until they are stopped. that is why we dont withdraw troops.

They have not stolen the oil yet and are trying to convince the current Iraqi government that its not theirs. It would be a disaster to let them keep their own oil.
