I finnished the series of Elfen Lied about a month ago.
And a friend an I got into an argument on whether or not Lucy dies in the end of the series. Does she?

Yeah she is still alive in the anime that was her shadow.
But in the manga (which they never made it in english.)
From what i've read
At the end of the Elfen Lied manga Lucy dies at the hands of Kohta,

She didn't die, but she lost a horn. Her shadow was showing at the end of the series near the entrance of the house. The agency really wanted to get her badly, it isn't unlike her to leave the world without a fight.

It is continued in the manga.. she was the dark shadow in the end of the anime series..

It is implied at the very end of the show that it was Lucy/Nyu at the door. The shadow at the door was her!

No she is still alive i believe she is the shadow you see in the end.

No she doesnt.... the manga series continued on for some volumes.... if you find it online you will see it
