An IQ test compares you with others your age, so your age is irrelevant. 100 is average. 149 places you in the very superior, or genius range. Only 1% of the population achieves a score higher than 135.

Is it good? It's amazing. At a Full Scale IQ of 130, a person has an intellectual quotient in the top 2% in the world. That ofcourse means that 98% of the rest of the population is below that person. Your child is within the top 1% of the worlds population at FSIQ = 149.

Ya, I'm guessing it was an online IQ test.
Reason: Someone with a 149 IQ would probably already know the answer to this question. -and wouldn't post a question like this on yahoo answers... -and would know how to write...

an IQ of 149 is high for anyone at any age.
Any IQ over 137 is in the top 1% of humanity
The question is really the accuracy of the test taken.

intelligence tests today no longer use the IQ formula. Instead, the score on a modern intelligence test compares a person’s performance with others his/her own age, while arbitrarily defining the average score as 100.

That's very high - 100 is the average.
But a lot depends on the test. To be accurate, it needs to be a qualified test, given in controlled conditions, and scored by a qualified tester. That's usually means a visit to a counselor or psychologist. The IQ tests on the web may not give you very accurate results.

Hi! Congrats on your IQ results.I just want to say, (not implying anything, of course) that an IQ score should not be taken so seriously, because there are many other things that determine if you are really clever, apart from that test, which mainly checks your ability of reaching logical conclusions through observation.
