I hope so...They will be very good...I think they will contend, and be in the playoffs for the first time in a long time...I don't know if they really can compete with Miami or Detroit when those teams are at full strength...not to mention San Antonio in the west...but time will tell...

Though not a Boston fan, with the trades they've made, and the players they now have, Boston, for the first time in years, should have a team that can compete with any other team, and can maybe once again be tops in their division. It all depends on injuries that take place during the season.

The Spurs are the team to beat right now in the NBA, the Celtics gotta get pass Detroit first, because Detroit is always in the conference finals and every year they're tough to beat, they have a much deeper team than anyone in the east, the celtics are depending on 3 guys to carry them.
They have a chance, but it won't be easy. And I must admit, I'd like to see what they can do. Good luck to them...

hell yeah!
dude, they could Bill Gates to run point, and Dick Cheney to play the middle... and they will still win. As a basketball fan, I'm mad excoted to watch this team play, and I already got my tix to watch when Boston comes to NYC. Garnett who is one of the sickest players ever. People don't even realize just hwo good he is, since he is such a team player, and has barely ever had a team around him. Pierce is the Truth for a reason.. and we all know that Ray Allen has the wettest jumper in the league.

The Cavs made it to the Finals last year with just Lebron. Anything is possible but having KG, Ray and Paul make their chances a heck of a lot better than most teams!

Not yet, too early.
There are still more team out East that are more capable to advance into the NBA's finals come June 2008.
There are teams that got the chemistry, right personnel and deeper bench that can represent the East in the Finals. They are Chicago, Detroit or New Jersey.
