I think your best bet is to explain your story and then see what responses you get.

Though there are plenty of attorneys and police who follow some of these forums...many will not respond without first seeing the circumstances, do a bit of research, then respond.

You should always be open and frank and honest with your lawyer. Your lawyer will not drop you for being guilty, but he will drop you for lying to him or withholding information.

Remember, what you tell your lawyer is absolutely privileged. He cannot divulge what you tell him to anyone else (like a priest in the confessional). The only exception is if you disclose an intent to harm another person, because that is something not covered by attorney-client privilege.
