I have to admit that, going on 40 years since its release, The Rolling Stones' "Brown Sugar" and Foreigner's "Hot Blooded" still do it for me.

Those are both great examples. I never get tired of "Brown Sugar". One that I still love, despite it being on heavy rotaton on every "adult contemporary" format station in the country is "Missing You" by John Waite. Also, just about any Who song still does it for me, and "Rock and Roll" by Zeppelin.

Edit:
Becasue it just came up on the iPod, I have to add "I Want You to Want Me" by Cheap Trick to the mix.

Any over-played ACDC song will grab and hold my full attention regardless of where/when I hear it.

It's amazing how many high school marching bands know at least 3 ACDC songs and play them during football games. And, even played poorly, they still get me moving.

Interesting that you would bring up the Stones, because they would be my answer too. Not only has "Start Me Up" been WAY overplayed, quite a few hard-core fans don't like it.

But I love it and always listen enthusiastically when it's on.
