No way!!! My husband and I discussed this when we went over our vows before the ceremony 2 years ago. We joked about it as he wanted me to say it but I refused, but that is no longer in your vows, well it wasn't for us in our ceremony with a registrar.

No way, i don't think in marriage it's healthy for either partner to feel they have to obey the other so when I get married I'm definately leaving it out.

It sounds very old fashioned. If I could make my own vows, then no. If not, he should say ''obey'' too... lol

I did but as it was 44 yrs. ago it was the norm then. Luckily it has never been a problem as our marriage has been an equal partnership. I wouldn't do it now though !

That part was LEFT OUT when I got married-- it was kind of a joke with my husband and me, since we're both such independent people.

Didn't the first time and I doubt I ever will....That is so olden....I only obey GOD not my other
