Hello This Is My First Question On Yahoo....... I am one week late on my period, I am having alot of gas, I am going to the bathroom alot, i got really dizzy two days ago, and i am really thirsty at night time when i go to bed. The problem is I have taken several home pregnancy test "Early Result" the first two have very faint lines and the other 3 are showed up negative. The two that showed up positive are really faint and the were taken after intercourse. What does all of this mean?

Retest with your first morning urine.

When you did the tests that were positive were they after the ones that were negative? If the ones you did that were positive the most recent ones then you are pregnant! It does not matter if you had intercourse or not, if the line is faint or dark you are pregnant. The other signs and symptoms you say you’re having do not have to do with being pregnant! You need to do another ept test! When you do the test it does not matter if the line is faint or very bold in color, if there is a plus sign on it your positive, meaning you’re going to have a baby!

The next thing you need to do is make an appointment to see a obgyn to have a full and complete check up to make certain you are indeed pregnant. There are certain tests your doctor will do that are required. They are just basic test that he/she will do just as you have done when you go in for your annual pelvic exam. Once all of these tests are done the doctor will confirm if you’re pregnant or not.

I have put some links in for you to click on and it will take you to the site to get more information to any questions you might have.

Good luck

Well, the tests look for a hormone called hcg that is produced after conception. Home tests are not always accurate and can have false negatives and false positives. I have never heard of intercourse affecting a result before, but I do know that taking the first morning urine is the best time to test as this is when your urine is most concentrated with hcg throughout the day.

I would wait a couple of days, let your hcg build up if you are pregnant. Make an appointment with your doctor and ask if they will draw a blood hcg to confirm - that is MUCH MORE accurate than a home test. Good luck.

i've heard it said on this list that any kind of a positive result is positive..you can't get a positive line if your are not pregnant but you can get a negative result when you are actually pregnant...get another test (eg. First Response) and use it first thing in the morning...if it's negative, then chances are you're not pregnant...if there is a second line (no matter how faint) then you are pregnant...either way - if you're still in doubt, have a doc confirm...good luck

Rather than waste your money on the home tests, I'd go to the doctor and have him confirm the results. Good luck!

Call your doctor and make an appointment.
You shouldnt take a test right after intercourse.
