I'm certainly not going to defend the damn Republicans.
But if school systems could just kick out the real bad students (who consider school just "state sponsored day care" and who...despite being only about two percent of the student body...cause about 90% of all the problems, including physically threatening and abusing teachers)...there'd be no need for teachers to have to defend themselves.
And the people who keep that from happening are the damn Democrats.

That is one reason I do not live in the USA now. Everyone is afraid of everyone else. The police are more apt to harm you than any criminal will. The legal process ruins people no matter what the outcome is.
I still think the USA is the best place to be born and raised. I don't know how much longer I can say that though. I think not long. No I do not blame the government for any of it. I do blame you average Joe though. So many do not vote at all and most that do don't know what they are voting for.
Sure is correct when the USA is refereed to as a police state.
so much complaining about the loss of life in Iraq of Americans. Getting near four thousand I think now. Over thirty thousand every year die on the roads of America and I see or hear very little abut that. If you value life so much then do something where it can really do some good.
I know it won't happen

Personally, I don't think teachers should be allowed to carry weapons in the classroom. But, I do agree with the idea of having a security officer assigned to a number of classrooms. Instead of placing more guns in the schools, why not increase on security. Are these students being searched? What about metal detectors? Are the schools being searched on a constant basis? Some things are unavoidable, but I do believe there is a lot more both the schools and parents could do with a little more funding.

At first it doesn't sound like a bad idea but if it's in the desk what if the teacher walks away from the desk and a crazy student uses the gun that was meant for "protection" to kill his/her classmates and the teacher. It probably wouldn't be a good idea. I have never thought guns were the problem it's always the crazy person using it that messes things up.

I don't support the idea. I think that padding down students is the better idea. Perhaps installing an emergency button under each teacher's desk, or arming each with a walkie-talkie would be a better solution.
Can you imagine what would happen if a student ever got ahold of the teacher's gun? It would be saying "Hey kids, if you want a handgun, just go to school and find an unguarded desk drawer--- if you can pick the lock, these guns are free for the taking!"
Besides, it is very rare that violence ever ends violence.

I think it would be a smarter move to introduce better security at schools. Maybe something along the methods airports use. Therefore preventing weapons from getting into schools in the first place. What are teachers going to do with guns? Get into gun fights? Shoot people for not handing homework in on time? It's ridiculous.

Guns in the hands of responsible people would prevent a lot of crimes. Criminals biggest fear is that the would be victim is armed.
Guns are not the problem. The crimials are the problem. If I am attacked by a theif, islamic terrorist or whoever, I would not hesitate to give them a taste of lead. That is the reason for the constitutional right. It is in the constitution so we have the ability to protect ourselves from others and from the government if need be.

The shape says somewhat some issues that have fallen out of style. Amendments would be made to the form. there grew to become into an modification outlawing alcohol and we are nevertheless ingesting by way of fact it grew to become into replaced. they could amend the form and do away with weapons all collectively. seem on the united kingdom. There gun homicide cost is fifteen circumstances under ours, and what a ask your self they have a number of the strictest gun administration rules interior the international. maximum of their law enforcement officers do not even could carry weapons. whilst are individuals going to understand that extra weapons equals extra killing? The shooting that happened in Connecticut did not happen with an illegally obtained firearm. The gun grew to become into legally bought by capacity of his determine. And if that gun wasn't reachable to him, this bloodbath would possibly not have got here approximately. whilst he snapped he would have taken a knife extremely, that's lots much less complicated to look after against. maximum weapons utilized in crimes have been bought legally at one element or yet another. If we outlaw weapons and do like Australia did and purchase lower back the weapons already available and wreck them, this united states of america may be lots safer.

I'm all about gun control and I'm hardcore republican. But I think teachers having guns would be good. But only in theory. Some crazy kid might steal it and blow people away. It would possibly cause more harm than good.
Bullet proof windows and some sorta button activated locking mechanism on doors might be better. It wouldn't save everyone, but It would have the potential to save some.
