No. I live in Michigan. My nephew was living in New York City at the time. He was getting ready to walk to work when it "happened". He said it was the weirdest sight of all when he stepped outside his apartment building and could no longer see the Twin Towers in the distance. Later that day he saved an Indian cab driver from getting the crap beat out of him or worse when people were taunting him, hitting him, and throwing things at him believing he was an Arab.

Only a part of my heart as it died seeing the tragedy unfold on TV. I dont think I had ever cried watching the news before, but I did then, and I have everytime I have rewatched it each year on the anniversary.
I didnt lose anyone I know, but we all lost that fateful day.

I didn't loose anyone personally, but I think that we all lost that day. God Bless the brave ones who lost lives that day and to the families left behind. My heart goes out to them

About 12 Friends that went in to help. They came from across the bridge and never came out. That was a tragedy! Hope it never happens again.

No, I did not. But I know someone who lost his son. They were grief-stricken over the loss and have never recovered.

I have a friend who works in Manhattan, and not knowing much about NYC, I was terrified it was near her. Thankfully, it wasn't, but she was scared to death that day and so was I.

well not anyone close, but i found out that this kid that i had computer class with was in one of the planes. sadly he was on his way to see his mom.
