First monkey...?
The first monkeys were a group called Anthropoidea. This included monkeys called Apidium and Aegyptopithecus, but there were several more.
I think that was 36-31 million years ago.
The first monkey in space was Albert the rhesus monkey in 1948.
The first genetically modified monkey was ANDi the rhesus monkey in 2000.
There's a few first monkeys for you. :P
