...Have their networks private and don't allow contact etc...
Do you think it's a case of they can dish it out but they can't take it?
Who are these stupid people!?
And where are the Y!A ledgends I am used to!?
What happened to being nice...?!
(and yes, I know I'm going to get a lot of abuse for this Q, but I also know the truth!)

Yes you probably will get a lot of heat from this, but not from me. For the most part you are right, however there are exceptions. I have had some friends stalked recently on answers and in 360. As far as the legends that you mentioned, some people have begun to see Y/A as a contest and not a place to have fun. They report the higher level members until they get kicked out and then go after the next one. I have seen it happen to a friend of mine so much that they changed their name. Remember, the point of being here is to have fun, and too express how you feel about things.

I must take issue with you on this - I am neither rude nor insolent however I do not necessary want Joe Bloggs and the wide world having access to things that are quite personal to me, my network is made up of people who have kindly shown an interest by emailing me and asking to becoming a contact (as I have done with others). I hide anything that could cause my peaceful life aggrevation, but I consider myself to be friendly and outgoing. This is not abuse to the questioner honestly, in fact its indicative of the nasty world we now live in.

Hey hun, you get my vote there! All the ledgends have been banned, and Y!A has given way to a whole army of rude people that take plasure in being nasty. Personally I dont see why they bother. I stopped asking questions on here, as I became a target for unfair violations, and nasty people. Think a lot of other people have done the same. Sad thing is we have lost the quality of this site x

You claim on your profile that you've had a lot of life experience AT 23! To me your barely out of nappies!
Your Question proves you haven't learned life's most important lesson....... not yet anyway.
Different people have different reasons for taking the same actions. Some of the nice go 'private' too.
Why would you want to make contact with the rude type of person anyway?

I am a very nice and polite person! My network is set to private because I have had a stalker for quite some time and she was reporting me for nothing and Yahoo doesn't check so instead of loosing my account I am now private! I don't have anything to hide at all!

I think the problem lies with the monitoring of the site. I reported a particularly vile question on here well over 12 hours ago and the question is still on the site. It is nearly a day old now.

i understand the type. nonetheless, i think they do no longer come lots to Portugal... perchance they frequently seek for places that look extra "flashy", to the bare eye... there is likewise the somewhat mind-blowing American type, perfect? i understand them too. The Portuguese like to declare how we are the main hospitable human beings in the worldwide, yet particularly frankly the yank might fairly be the main hospitable i've got ever met (and that i've got met particularly some: it fairly is human beings and human beings from diverse worldwide places in diverse worldwide places).

I keep my profile private because there are a few small minded people on here who like nothing better than to report.
If I know you aren't going to report me, then become a contact.

There are still lots of us "nice people" out here! I just do as we are all forced to do in life, overlook the idiots and proceed with taking advice of people who seem to as least have a clue about the subject...

Yes... I have noticed that too. People are usually nice, but put them behind the protection of a computer screen and their true inner hatefulness comes out lol.
