Our individual rights as well as business owners rights are being stripped daily. The Constitution lays it all out there. The Bill of Rights (one in the same I know) allows us to be a free nation. Our Governing body works for the people, paid by the people and most of of all elected by the people, but they vote on a pay raise, they tell what I can and cannot not do.

When I refer to "pay raise" is the fact the people they represent starve and sleep on the streets while they make 6 figures a year. There are no term restrictions so they stay as long as they wish. They are telling business owners what they can and cannot allow. Those whom must a be wise ***, I know where it is, I want to know where does it stand in todays government. Just for you read it and understand it. http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html

Last time I checked, pay raises weren't covered by anything in the Bill of Rights or the Constitution.

As far as what you can and cannot do, those are called laws. Leglislators that are voted in by the citizenry pass those laws. The Bill of Rights is right where it's always been.

Are you really in college?

The real question is where is the voice of the people. They all complain about the corruption but yet they still vote the same people in office. I have said on other questions that if people would band together on a site where they could leave some kind of electronic signature and then when there is lets say 10 to 20 million signatures then send it to cnn, fox news, msnbc, abc, cbs, pbs, and every politician in the senate and congress. All the site would have to do is tell them if they do not change the law or fix the law then they will be voted out. Take for example illegal aliens, or legalization of pot, or the war in Iraq, all the site would have to do is take votes and then send the majority vote to them. You could send it to all democrates and tell them if its not fixed then the position will be filled by a republican or independent. Then the same could be sent to the republicans saying they would be replaced with a democrate or independent. Basically what I am saying is a large voice is heard while a whisper is ignored. Until we stand up be heard they will always do what they want to do no matter what is right. Look at health care for children. Why should any child die because they have no insurance. Why are child molesters let free after only one day in jail or as we have seen lately no days in jail. We need to stand up and shout. We need to be heard. Its all up to us. I myself do not know how to create one of those sites but if someone does they can let me know here on answers and I will join up. I will also let others know as well.

We elect the folks in the "governing body" to represent us, make the laws that govern us, protect us.

If you don't like how those elected are handling themselves simply get active in supporting candidates who represent what you believe will be better.

And remember to vote. I'm appalled at the number of people who don't exercise that critical right!

Protecting and upholding the constitution will never win an election. Keeping the price of gasoline below $3.50 a gallon wins elections.

It is crazy. It's the major reason that every single U.S. citizen has an obligation to pay attention to politics and to get involved. It is the only way because everything these politicians do can affect you for life. Apathy needs to be stomped out as not an option unless you want to continue to see your rights and your quality of life decline.

The Bill of Rights were signed away with a stroke of a pen under the Patriot Act. Work to abolish this misleadingly-named piece of fascist trash and impeach the monkey who signed it.

Kiddo, we haven't followed the Constitution in ages, because the globalists who control the world are at odds with it. We no longer have any rights, and have NEVER been a "free country." That's a mass illusion.

If you REALLY want to do away with the Bill of Rights elect Hillery Clinton. She promised right here at Yahoo that she intends to do away with the Bill of Rights.

What are you talking about? What is your question, what happened to the Bill of Rights? They're in the National Archives in D.C.
