I want to get the Gardasil vaccine (my insurance finally covers it) but I won't be able to get the shots at the correct times. I can get the first one now, and the next two months later, but I will be abroad six months from now, and won't be returning until about 9 months from now.

Will the vaccine be equally effective if I put off the last dose that long?

If you answer, please tell me why you think you're right (eg, my doctor told me that, or I am a doctor, or I created the vaccine, or I work with vaccines, or here's my source)

I am a nurse and work for a Dr. I give the Gardasil injection at least 2-3 times a day and I get the same question-time line.

You have a two week period before and after your due date to get the injection.
You may want to think about asking your Dr. to write a prescription of Gardasil so that way you can take it with you and inject it yourself or have someone inject it for you. Either way, keep a copy of the script with you after you get it filled just in case someone gets suspicious.
The pharmacy that get the script filled at should give you a needle with no problem.
Also, I know alot about Gardasil because I help teach STD education to teenagers and attend Gardasil monthly meetings.

Read about it somewhere online. You shouldn't wait that long to get the last shot.

IMO You should wait until you are 100% sure you can get the shots administered at the times prescribed.

This will also give time for some long term affects to come to light, as there really are no long term studies done on this shot.
