Yes and No...
Reasons:
Sometimes you are born into wealth.. or you can win a large amount of money on a lottery or something like that..or sometimes its inherited wealth .. that takes no intelligence whatsoever...
but it does takes some intelligence to know what to do with it though.. so you are not broke soon after winning..
Hard work plus a determination to get ahead can bring wealth..plus having the sense to know how to invest that money for major profit .. well yeah I would say you need intelligence for that..

I think that intelligence is a person's ability to solve problems and achieve goals, whether it's math, relationship, or financial problems, a more intelligent person will be more successful at being successful. If an intelligent person focuses on becoming financially wealthy the chances are better he will succeed over a less intelligent person.

I think Intelligence and wealth are not at all connected to each other in any ways. Most of the rich people are not-so-intelligent. Filmstars, Models, Business tycoons, (not all but some are dumb and still wealthy). Politicians are the best examples of such people.

Luck could play a part but intelligence plays the large part yes. It is a concentrated kind of intelligence. Just because somebody does not have book smarts, does not mean they are not street smart. They could also just have a really good agent.

Oh, not at all. I think an intelligent person can become successful, sure. But just being rich has NEVER translated to being smart.

No. There are plenty of intelligent people who are more interested in helping others and giving of themselves than accumulating wealth.
The drive to become wealthy is more about personality types and the environment you grow up in.
