I disagree with those that have answered thus far. I think the Lightning Bolts DO have a chance. Sure, Tom Brady is looking good and Moss has his 'groove' back....but what about the illegal sniping backlash? Goodale MAY make them forfeit the game vs. the Jets which would cause a little bit of mutiny on the Pats ship potentially. San Diego can keep a team with a good defense on their toes - just look what they did versus the Bears? Rivers continues to get it done and LT is simply all-world. Then you have Antonio Gates, their 3rd down 'go-to' guy, probably going against the Pats linebackers. Plus, their 2nd team RB and FB can pound the middle when LT needs a breather or on goal line. Nate Kaeding is money on field goals, so in the end I think San Diego (at this time of the year in Foxboro) CAN and WILL win the game versus the Pats, 27-24, via a late GW Field Goal.

The Chargers will win.
The Pats won in the playoffs last year when San Diego imploded on themselves. The skill of the NE didn't have much to do with dropped passes, penalties, and stupid decisions. Prior to that, San Diego DEMOLISHED the Pats in Fox to end their record-setting home win streak. Completely silenced the crowd and everyone associated with the Pats after that game.
The Pats have Moss now, which is an improvement. Though he has been on the Raiders the last few years (whom SD plays twice a year). Not that he had a quarterback who could throw him the ball, but SD will still be familiar with his ability and how he generally runs a route, more so than others.
You also have to consider if Brady will even get near the same amount of time to throw the ball as he did against NY. Charger defense will only give him a few steps, which means the deep pass won't come up that much. He'll have to throw more, and SD has been creating lots of turnovers this year in both pre- and regular season (I know it was Grossman last week, but turnovers are turnovers).

Excluding the 11 junk yards as time was running out against a prevent defense at the half, LT gained 14 yards on 15 carries. I think he will improve this week, maybe even double that output. Unfortunately, Philip Rivers will be throwing the ball instead of LT this week and he'll throw one to Adalius Thomas, one to Asante Samuel and another to Tedy Bruschi.

I am going to say NE, only if they can contain LT the entire game. LT was not at his best last Sunday, but again he was against one of the top defenses in the league. If LT rushes for more than 100, NE is going to have difficulty. Also in the same breath, SD's corners don't match up well against the Patriots receivers. It should be close, I would say no more than a TD.

I would put my money on the Pats. After all this tape crap and the media blowing it way out of porportion as my guess is all teams find an edge. The Pats are going to take it all personal. They are going to be MAD that media and fans and other teams HERE THIS LT, are calling them cheaters, which question their MANHOOD, athleticism, and TALENT. SD is going to wish they PUT a muzzle on LT that whine bag. You just gave this team a reason to get fired up. Usually they played the disrespect and underdog card in the past. Now they get to prove to the world, you all are wrong by using the the card of you all questioning their talent and manhood! Thank you all for firing up my team.

i believe that NE will win this one, unless SD can bounce back big from their performance in week one. the pulled out the win, but didn't look too impressive. maybe it was just the bears defense, i'm not sure, but for LT to only have 25 yards, something wasn't right.

Sorry if you are a chargers fan, but I find them a little overrated. I still think they are a good team, and their running game will keep them in this one..
But I see Brady and the Pats coaching pulling this one out 24-20.

Is the coach out for this one? If so, San Deigo. Sadly though, with Belicheck, SD won't have a chance.
